Jerry Fuchs, 34, who drummed for West Coast dance-punk band !!! and the Georgia-based psychedelic instrumental ensemble Maserati, tumbled five stories down an elevator shaft following a party at a Williamsburg loft.
Apparently the manual freight elevator stopped somewhere above the fifth floor, and Fuchs and his friend attempted to jump the few feet to the fifth floor. The friend landed safely, but a piece of Fuchs clothing snagged on the elevator, causing him to snap backward and fall into the shaft’s crevasse.

how sad that this happened but it was an act of stupidity to do such a thing.I do pray for his family though.Trish
